We bring a fresh approach and flexible thinking to our work. This allows us to create environments that are responsive to new concepts of working, learning, and living.
We challenge ourselves and our clients to see the full potential of their project. Looking at alternative scenarios promotes expansive thinking and brings into sharp focus important values and key priorities. Our goal is enable others—individuals, community groups, and institutions—to be effective editors and active contributors in the design and planning process.
Our passion is this process of collaborative discovery. Collaboration is the way we embrace different points of view. We value collaboration within our firm. The open studio environment of our office stimulates creative ideas and information sharing. Building projects involve many people and so we draw from the broader experience of the entire project team—builders, consultants and craftsmen.
AKV’s process was vital to forming consensus in a diverse group of prospective donors and community leaders. It brought all the issues to the table, resolved conflicts and gave direction to our whole fund-raising plan.
